Exercise of Practical Life
The exercise in practical life is the very heart of Montessori
education, as it presents the activities related to day today life. It develops child’s fine motor skills (coordinated small muscle movements in the hand, wrists, and fingers) and
hand –eye coordination (the use of the eyes to guide movement).

Sensorial development (Learning through hands and senses)
The purpose of sensorial activities is to help children sort out the different impressions given by the senses. Sensory play is a valuable way of engaging children in activities that will heighten their senses and enrich their learning.

ROOTS

Root–The Montessori House is a preschool for children between the ages 2 to 5 years. The foundation of the school was laid in 2002, since then the preschool has grown as a value creating and progressive institution with the strong commitment towards the Montessori philosophy.

Freedom of expression and learning by doing is the ‘Mantra at ROOTS’.

The mind set while setting up the school was to change the old teaching methodology of rote learning in a stressful environment, along with giving a strong foundation and encouraging the development of emotional quotient.

Considering the environment, the children are exposed to during their formative years, the school was aptly named, ‘ROOTS’. Keeping in mind the absorbent quality of child’s mind between 2 to 5 years, we at ‘ROOTS’ give them a platform to excel.
